Performance physical therapy & rehab in Chino, CA
Get out of pain. Return to training stronger.
Performance physical therapy for fighters, athletes, and active individuals.
Tried physical therapy and still hurting?
If you’ve tried traditional insurance-based physical therapy and still feel limited or in pain, it’s often because:
- Your rehab sessions and training were not challenging enough to adequately prepare you for your movement goals or sport.
- Important areas of your movement chain were overlooked.
- Sessions relied mostly on passive treatments (e-stim, ice, heat, ultrasound, massage, manual therapy, etc.).
- Your sessions are shared with 3-4 other clients, instead of having individualized 1-on-1 time with your physical therapist.
What’s different here
Ember & Rise Physio is more than physical therapy. It’s a refined, human-centered approach to performance and healing.
- A thorough, whole body evaluationA 90-minute root-cause assessment designed to understand you: your movement, strength, lifestyle, and goals, not just your pain.
- Elevated, evidence-based careEach 1-on-1 session with a doctor of physical therapy is tailored to your body and training demands. It blends strength and movement focused rehabilitation, and hands-on manual therapy if required.
- A thoughtfully crafted plan back to your bestYou leave every session with clear direction and a progressive roadmap, so you rise stronger, not just return to baseline.

Lorrain did a fantastic job of diagnosing and properly treating my foot pain. I worked with a previous physical therapist who made a different diagnosis, and I was not seeing progress.

My story
I’m born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and earned my bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Irvine. After realizing physical therapy was my calling, I received my doctorate in physical therapy at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA (formerly University of the Sciences in Philadelphia).
I’m now back happily settling roots in Southern California. Outside of work, I’m training Muay Thai, meeting petting quotas from our cat & dog Ariel & Dreamy, climbing, and most of all spending time with the best husband and friends I can ask for.
Questions
Do you take my insurance or HSA/FSA?
I am a cash-pay and out-of-network provider, so I do not take health insurance. I provide a superbill (an itemized receipt) for you to directly submit for reimbursement.
I do accept HSA/FSA.
What do I wear on my first visit?
Wear anything you feel comfortable moving in. For lower body, shorts or looser clothing to roll up. For upper body, a sleeveless shirt, tank top, sports bra, etc.
How do I get started?
Fill out the form below, and someone will reach out to schedule a discovery call to learn a bit more about what’s going on.
I’m not a fighter or athlete. Can you still help me?
Of course! We all have the fighter spirit in us. It’s a privilege to guide you on your healing journey and get you back to doing what you once thought impossible. If you can face and overcome challenges with a commitment to yourself, you’re at the right place.
How often do I come in for follow-up sessions?
Unlike the traditional 2-3x a week for 6-12 weeks, this is determined based on our initial assessment. We collaboratively create a realistic plan to fit your needs. This depends on the acuity of your injury or pain, goals, schedule, personal accountability, etc.
Some clients require only 1-4 sessions. For more chronic injuries it can take 10-20 sessions spread out over the course of 6-12 months.
What should I expect on my first visit?
On your first visit, you will have an initial assessment with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
We will have a detailed conversation about your injury or pain, limitations, your training, goals, what hasn’t worked, etc. From there, we go through a comprehensive movement assessment based on your injury to figure out the root cause(s) of your issue. We’ll then give you a clear answer to what’s going on and how we are going to resolve this issue together.
We then put together a holistic approach and feasible program based on access to training equipment, schedule, etc.
